Carissa's journey in education began after attending North Fayette Valley High School, followed by college at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College and UW-Whitewater. She has started her first year as a teacher in our district, her commitment to nurturing young minds spans beyond borders. Carissa's favorite part of the job? It is the priceless moments when she witnesses her students' smiles light up the room. Outside of school hours, you can find her indulging in her favorite pastimes, from watching movies to enjoying ranger rides and cherished moments with her family. When it comes to food, Carissa's palate favors the simplicity of spaghetti and the sweetness of ice cream. Another interest is that she is a basketball enthusiast and her favorite color is purple. A literary soul, Carissa finds comfort in the works of Nicholas Sparks, with "The Best of Me" ranking among her favorite movies. Notably, amidst her teaching tenure, she shares a unique bond with River Ridge, where 26 staff members are still teaching as they did during her elementary and middle school days before her family moved to Iowa. Carissa's passion for education and her connection to her roots make her a devoted member of our school community.
